The birth of Scarlet and the STRENGTH of her mama.

Let me start by saying, I've never even been near a laboring mom before agreeing the photograph Rachel's labor and delivery. I was hesitant about booking since I would turn down birth inquires in the past but decided to go for it this time! I went to high school with Rachel and Kyle, and Rachel is actually my dog's groomer so I felt more comfortable about finally jumping into birth photography to test the waters.

When I arrived to the hospital, Rachel had already progressed pretty quickly since this was her second baby. She opted to go without an epidural this time and labored through intense, painful contractions. At 8:08pm, Scarlet made her appearance just seconds before her doctor made it into the delivery room!

Born at 6 pounds and 14 ounces, this beautiful little girl is the newest member of such a loving family with two amazing parents and a sweet big sister!
