Claire & Luke | Barn Wedding | Jacksonville, NC Photographer

Hey guys! Since revamping my website, I thought it would be a great idea to start a blogging my sessions! This way, I can share more photos starting with my most recent wedding.

Claire and Luke were the most laid back bride and groom I've ever worked with. I started my day by traveling to Atlantic Beach to the hotel Claire and her bridesmaids were getting ready at. Before heading out however, I had been checking the weather all week and it was calling for 80% chance of rain! Thats not what a wedding photographer wants to see when the ceremony is outdoors! So I called Claire to let her know that I'd be more than happy to stop and get those cute, clear umbrellas for her and the wedding party and I did just that. By the time I got to the hotel, the skies were clearing immensely! I always start off photographing the bride's details including the rings, dress, shoes, and any other accessories she may have with her. Once her and the girls were dressed and ready, we were out the door to head to the venue!

I arrived at Butterfly Kisses Pavilion in Newport and there was no sign of rain, yay! The ceremony site was in front of a beautiful pergola overlooking a pond with a willow tree off to the side. There was a gorgeous, rustic barn for the reception space that was lit up with string globe lights and had huge sliding doors on either end. As for the rest of the day, it was such a breeze and absolutely full of fun and love!
